This week [26 September 2019], we published Saint-Louis University’s 2018-2019 retrospective movie which shortly featured a debate with Marie-Martine Schyns, the former minister of education the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, about the future of Belgian education and her ambitious but controversial plan reforming secondary education in the French community of Belgium, the Pact of Excellence. Two years earlier, in 2017, Madeye was at the Athénée Robert Catteau secondary school of the City of Brussels, where pupils and staff expressed their concerns around the decrease in Latin courses in the then planned Pact of Excellence.
