CIVIX is a non-profit organisation led by students from 6 Belgian universities. They aim to promote smart voting and fight against voting abstention. The team developed CIVIX, an app preparing for Belgium’s federal, regional and European elections of 26 May 2019 with an extensive platform full of educational content, political programmes of every party, list and candidate, and a tool to send public questions to which all political parties can give an answer or opinion, literally connecting citizens with their elected representatives.
Madeye produced 97 different videos which are variations of 35 single interview videos. These include 9 shorts with Julian Clarenne, doctoral research assistant in constitutional law at Saint-Louis University, Brussels (UCLouvain), recorded in French, about various topics on the upcoming elections. These 9 shorts were edited in 3 different versions: 4K 16:9, 4K 1:1 and vertical HD 9:16, for mobile compatibility, all with a unique standard stock footage. This resulted in 27 files allowing CIVIX to integrate all the clips inside the app, but also to publish them accordingly on different social media : YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, IGTV. Additional videos and the Dutch-speaking equivalents of these interviews were realised with political scientist Dave Sinardet.
Other productions for CIVIX in 2019 include Dave Sinardet, professor of political science, and Camille & Qassem from CQ Interview.
